Monty Don Flowerpot Range
Inspired by Ned ∙ Designed by Monty Don
Handmade by Whichford Pottery
We were delighted to be asked by Monty Don to make bespoke pots for his RHS & BBC Radio 2 Dog Garden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, created by Jamie Butterworth and his team at Form Plants.
To mark this exciting occasion we are proud to launch two new flowerpot designs inspired by Monty Don’s Chelsea pots.
A percentage of each pot sale will be donated to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

Images of Jim Keeling handcarving the clay original for the Monty Don Pots, followed by the casting process. It is then over to Adam Keeling to meticulously handthrow the large pots in two sections using a technique which has been passed down through generations of English Potters. Once leather hard our decorators, Sue and Babs, set to work adding the relief mould of Ned and Ned’s pawprint — they do this by offering up the moulds to the wall of the pot and carefully pressing the clay body into the mould before revealing and finally fettling in the detail to bring the motif to life.
