Rhubarb Forcer
As featured on The Great Pottery Throwdown
Our Rhubarb Forcer design follows in the best Victorian tradition and they work really well ! Forced rhubarb is one of the great joys of early Spring. The lack of light turns the rhubarb a delicate pink colour and also stops the build-up of acidity, so cooking and eating the crop is a delight.
These days, the forcers are admired for their architectural strength, set amongst flowers in borders.
